About this ride

A compact loop for when there is only an hour or so of light. It leaves a high spa town down a fast valley road, drops into a steep limestone dale, climbs to a market town and returns across open upland.

At roughly twenty miles and mostly main road, it is a quick blast rather than a day out, with a short winding stretch in the dale that rewards a steady throttle. Traffic is light on summer evenings, and there is time for a coffee stop on the way round. It is an easy ride for any experience level, best from May to September when the evenings are long.
