About this ride
Water, reeds and sails to begin with, then the dune-backed east coast. The loop heads out through the heart of the Broads, past boatyards and staithes, then follows a coast of low sand dunes, thatched barns and open skies.
Mixed roads at a moderate pace: some quicker A roads, then winding back lanes through marsh and village. Coast sections can be busy in summer, so a weekday or an early start helps. It is a substantial sixty-odd miles that suits a full morning with plenty of stops.
