About this ride
Out from the city to the Waveney valley, the soft border country between Norfolk and Suffolk. Market towns, water meadows, old mill buildings and a patchwork of small fields fill the middle of the ride.
One main road is unavoidable early on and is ridden in short pieces, after which the loop settles into quiet lanes and B roads that follow the valley. Easygoing at about sixty miles, it suits a leisurely half-day with a long stop in one of the market towns.
