About this ride
A short, varied loop that hugs a surf-washed coast, threads a stretch of narrow lanes behind the dunes, then drops into a busy seaside resort. The return follows the edge of a high moor, so you get sea views and open skies in the same afternoon.
The lane section is the hardest part: it is tight, with blind bends and oncoming traffic, so keep your speed down. Summer weekends bring slow traffic through the beach villages, so start early or go midweek. There is fuel at both ends. Late spring and early autumn are the best times.
