About this ride
Marshland, the flat hinterland of the Wash: long straight roads, right-angle bends and a sky that fills most of the view. Immense medieval churches rise from the farmland far larger than their villages need, and the drains run alongside the road like ruled lines.
This is a ride of straights and corners rather than curves. The pace is easy, with a few busier town sections at the start and finish and quiet marsh lanes between. It is an excellent choice for riders who enjoy space and silence, preferably on a clear afternoon.
