About this ride
A lap of the Llŷn Peninsula, the long, quiet arm of Wales that reaches out into the Irish Sea. Steep headlands rise above the northern shore, while the road runs out to a wild, windy western tip before returning along the sandy, open curve of the southern coast.
Most of the day is fast A road and winding B road, with long coastal sightlines, small harbour villages and a few tight, narrow sections in the far west. The pace is relaxed, and the sea is rarely out of view. It is a full day in the saddle, best in settled weather with the light low and clear, and it suits anyone who likes coast riding with a real sense of arrival at the end of the land.
