About this ride
A long diamond of a ride: it climbs a green valley to a market town, skirts the edge of a vast raised bog, then crosses rolling hill country before dropping to the sea. The roads are mostly open and flowing, with enough bends to keep you busy and few places that ask for much caution.
The hardest stretch is the hill road across the middle, which narrows and gets bumpy in places, so take it steadily. The final run down the coast is quick and easy. Fuel up before you leave, as the quiet middle section has little, and pick a dry day in late spring or early autumn for the best light on the bay.
