About this ride
A big loop that climbs over a high border pass, follows a long, empty valley down through the hills, then swings round the far side of a great dome of upland through a riverside town and a string of quiet villages before crossing back over the border. Expect wide views, sweeping two-lane roads and a real sense of space.
It is two-lane A and B roads throughout, with no single-track to worry about. Fuel is a long way into the ride, so fill up before you start. The pass is high and exposed, so pick a dry day between May and September.
